Food and Drink Facts Part-I

  1. The citrus soda 7-UP was created in 1929; '7' was selected because the original containers were 7 ounces. 'UP' indicated the direction of the bubbles.
  2. If the drink does not say natural sources, it probably contains a color or flavoring that is made from coal tars.
  3. It takes the food seven seconds to get from your mouth to your stomach.
  4.  All 13 minerals necessary for human life can be found in alcohol beverages.
  5. Pepsi originally contained pepsin, thus the name.
  6. Coca-Cola contained Coca (whose active ingredient is cocaine) from 1885 to 1903.
  7. Coca Cola was originally green.
  8.  The powder on chewing gum is finely-ground marble.
  9. Strawberries have more vitamin c than oranges.
  10.  Rubber is one of the ingredients in bubble gum.
